We had purchased two separate sets of large, heavy, thick towels this past year. I personally could not get dry using them plus they were heavy and difficult to use. I found these and yes they are smaller, and not as heavy. They laundered nicely without leaving a batting bag full of lint. The color didn’t fade much, we bought the burgundy color, and the size is just right also. My should would ache using the heavier towels but these are very comfortable, absorbent, and soft. Yes we do recommend these to replace those heavier towels .4
