I purchased the set of 12 silver charger plates. At a cost of about $3.25/plate this is an excellent value.Picture of two plates: the one on the left is of the ones we’ve had for about 25 years; the one on the right is of one of the new ones. These new plates are just a little lighter than our old ones and a little shallower, but still hold our fine China well. There are some swirl marks (you can call them scratches if you want) on the new plates, but there are swirl marks on our old ones as well – these don’t detract from the charger plates and are mostly hidden when you place your good plates on them. There was one plate that had bad enough scratches that we will toss it and not use it because the scratches are very visible – see picture provided. We checked all of the other plates which were packaged with a protective sheet between each plate, and there were no other plates with this type of scratching – though they all have the light swirl marks.Overall and for the value, these silver charger plates are a very good value, even with one of the twelve plates being disposable. The quality is also more than acceptable particularly for their intended use. I have no problem recommending these plates especially at this price. [...]
