Proform 66667 Black Aluminum Differential Cover with Perfect Launch Logo and Bearing Cap Stabilizer Bolts for GM

I bought this because I wanted a drain plug on the rear differential on my 4wd Astro. I consider the additional support for the differential bearing caps and the hot appearance a bonus. It is an easy swap if you don’t mind getting oily, and it’s probably time you put some good synthetic gear lube in the diff anyway. The fill plug is not a level plug, you must still use the factory level plug.My only caution is to unscrew the drain plug, and put some of the gear rtv on the threads and put it back in. I didn’t do that and afterwards I had a slight leak, I had to drain the oil and seal the plug. But even so I think it’s a worthwhile addition for anyone who takes pride in their motor…
