The fuel line on my boat fuel tank requires removal at the end of each season. Per the storage recommendations of Mercury marine, I’m required to feed a gas, oil, stabilizer mix into the motor to protect the internal part of the fuel injected GM V8. As a result, I like to replace the short length of marine fuel hose every couple of years. I usually buy a few feet of gates hose, but figured I’d give this a try. The wall thickness is thicker on this brand than my gates hose. As a result, it is more rigid so that might be challenging to make the correct bend radius for your application. In my case, that is not a factor, so perhaps the thicker walls would be a good thing. One odd thing about the fuel line is the STRONG smell emitting even before opening the sealed bag. It’s not a gasoline or other type petroleum type smell, more of a different chemical smell. I left it in the bag, but hoping that maybe that would dissipate eventually? If installed behind some beauty panels in a cuddy cabin, the smell would get old fast (not a problem in my application fortunately). Hopefully, the odor will dissipate regardless.
