I ordered this white tape desperate to find a fast & easy way to label all the cardboard boxes in my storage units as I open them to find out what’s inside. I can’t remember, so I wanted to label each box with the contents so I wouldn’t have to keep opening them. I wanted a white label which would show pencil well. I had tried pre-cut labels and 1″ Post-it tape. The Post-it tape worked well, but was too expensive and didn’t stick well to some surfaces. The pre-cut labels were also expensive and were rather cumbersome to use. With one problem, this tape is working well. When I need to label a box, I grab the roll and a pencil, write on the tape while it’s still on the roll, then peel off the part with my writing and stick it on the box. Each time I peel and tear off an amount, I bend the corner of what’s left on the roll so that every label has a uplifted corner making it later easy to remove. Works great! Almost…It was very difficult to figure out how to peel this tape to prevent it from tearing. At first I thought it was too cold, so I left it in the heated house until just before using it, but it still tore. That was so frustrating! Finally, after trying different ways, I learned that if I pulled it off the roll VERY slowly, it would pull off in one piece and wouldn’t tear. That technique has worked almost without fail. So it almost works great as labeling tape, but I have to slow down to prevent tearing the tape. This is still the best way I’ve found to label hundreds of boxes easily and cheaply, if not quickly.
