Handwoven Cotton Face Mask by CDK

This yellow face mask has been handwoven in Bhutan by experienced weavers in the Atelier of CDK, using traditional techniques. The colorful details are made from silk and are woven on vanilla-colored cotton. The geometric pattern called “Teema” is a traditional Bhutanese symbol often found on the national attires.Breathable, soft, and lightweight, this face mask is comfortable to wear. Its fitted form and the double layers of cotton fabric make it compliant with health regulations.Instruction: Hand wash or wash in a delicate cycle with neutral soap, then hang or lay flat to dry. Iron, steam, or dry with low heat. Do NOT bleach.About the artisan: CDK is a Bhutanese contemporary apparel, accessories, and home-wear brand. Launched in 2014 by Chandrika Tamang. Ms Chandrika is a passionate entrepreneur and self-taught designer who started designing and tailoring from her house. With only traditional clothing available in the market, she saw an opportunity in developing clothing with modern lines using traditional weaving methods. Inspired by nature and the environment, her designs showcase how traditional Bhutanese patterns and methods of weaving can be easily infused to create very fashionable and contemporary designs.
